La legge della vibrazione ha aiutato W.D. Gann a prevedere  accuratamente con un anno in anticipo i valori del DJ per l'intero anno 1929, incluso lo storico crash del '29 e l'inizio della grande depressione che ne è seguita.

Le sue previsioni erano cosi accurate che indicavano non solo la direzione di ogni singola azione studiata ma anche i valori di max e min  e di svolta.
